Derek is also a U.S. Navy veteran who served on three world tours. During his service, he played a key role in developing some of the Navy’s earliest aircraft maintenance inventory software, blending his technical expertise with a passion for efficiency and problem-solving.

With years of experience working with thousands of professionals across various industries, Derek saw a recurring issue: business owners were stretched thin, struggling to balance operations with growth. His wife, Dawn, shares this entrepreneurial spirit. As a software engineer who also grew up in a family-run business, she brings both technical expertise and a deep understanding of the demands that small business owners face. Together, they lead a team with a strong foundation in both business and technology, combining real-world experience with innovation.
